About Department

The Department Information Technology was established in the year 2007. It has consistently fulfilled its role of producing computer engineers ready to meet the demands of the IT world. The department has consistently attracted the best of engineering aspirants from all over the country. It has a team of well qualified and experienced faculty. The department offers B.E and B. Tech programs. The department has 10 high end computer labs laboratories like Data Structure Lab, Operating System Lab, Advanced software Lab, Multimedia Lab, Microprocessor Lab, Computer Graphics Lab and other to support the teaching & students have access to high end computing facilities. The department is also actively involved in various research activities. The department has a Centre of Excellence in IoT and Python & has signed MoU with CYIN solutions, Pune and Libity InfoTech Jalgaon, wonderkind solution, Pune and others, for industry involvement in teaching learning process.

HOD Profile

Prof. Sonal Pramod Patil has a wide experience of teaching more than a decade. She is BE, MTech and currently pursuing PhD from SVNIT , Surat. She has received many awards at national and state level. Her area of specialization is Image processing, Video processing, Data warehousing and mining, Machine Learning. She has published many research papers in reputed journals at National and International Levels. Also presented many papers in National and International level.

Program Outcomes

  • PO1:Engineering Knowledge:Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • PO2:Problem analysis:Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • PO3:Design/development of solutions:Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • PO4:Conduct investigations of complex Problems:Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

For Admission to First Year Engineering course
  • Passed HSC examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories) in the above subjects taken together; and Obtained score in MHT-CET 2020/Non-zero positive score in JEE MAIN.
For Admission to Direct Second Year Year Engineering course
  • Passed SSC or HSC and Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories ) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an AICTE approved Institution
  • Passed B.Sc. Degree from (UGC) recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories ) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject
