About Department

About Department – The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in the year 2014. Currently, the department offers 4 year B.Tech. Course with student intake of 30 & has well qualified & experienced faculty members & support staff. The department has 12 well-equipped state-of-the-art laboratories & a Centre of Excellence in ARTISAN Training, High voltage & Solar PV (CoE AT HV&PV) to augment the coursework and enhance the research potentials. The department also undertakes many consultancy projects from industry & other organizations.

In the year 2019, the institution was accredited with 'A' grade by NAAC & in 2020 was granted Autonomous Status with the approval of the UGC/AICTE & Government of India & renamed as G H Raisoni Institute of Business Management Jalgaon. The Department has built an excellent reputation for its graduates in terms of placements.

HOD Profile

Prof. Bipasa Patra is the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at G.H. Raisoni Institute of Business and Management, Jalgaon. In furtherance of her Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Master of Technology in VLSI and Power System and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, her areas of interest include System, Fuzzy logic, Neural Network, Drives and Control, and Image Processing. With a teaching experience of ten years, she has around nine publications in International Journals and Conferences. Her skills include Renewable Energy and Aurdino, among other things and her areas of expertise are Image Processing, Drives and Control and Embedded System.

Program Outcomes

  • Engineering Knowledge:Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • Problem analysis:Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • Design/development of solutions:Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • Conduct investigations of complex Problems:Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • Modern Tool Usage:Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

Eligibility

For Admission to First Year engineering course:

Passed HSC examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories) in the above subjects taken together; and obtained score in MHT-CET 2020/Non-zero positive score in JEE MAIN.

For Admission to Direct Second Year Engineering course

Passed SSC or HSC and Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an AICTE approved Institution Passed B.Sc. Degree from (UGC) recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject
