Student Grievance Redressal


Objectives

The objective of the Grievance Redressal Cell is to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the Institute.

Scope

  • Academic Matters: Related to timely issue of duplicate Mark-sheets, Transfer certificates, Conduct Certificates or other examination related matters.
  • Financial Matters: Related to fee dues and payments
  • Other Matters: Related to sanitation, food, timing, availability of transport etc.

Functioning

  • The cases will be attended promptly if any on receipt of written grievances from the students
  • The cell will meet to review all cases, prepare a statistical report about the number of grievances.
  • The setting up of the Students Grievance Redressal Cell for students is widely publicized.
  • Student coming to the cell is negligible as various grievances of students are handled and sorted out by the faculties through the mentoring programme.

Anti-Ragging Committee



Ragging is strictly banned in the institute. If anybody found indulged in such kind of activities, strict action will be taken irrespective of the extent. In order to prevent such kind of activity in campus, an anti-ragging committee has been formed.There is not a single case of ragging during the last 5 years.

Online Anti-Ragging Affidavits



As we know it is mandatory as per the Hon. Supreme Court & UGC/AICTE Regulations that all students fill in an Anti Ragging Affidavit, each year. To make the process easy MHRD has developed an ON LINE Facility.
Affidavits can be filled ONLINE at :

Students to fill their Affidavits on any of the two web sites. The procedure is very simple and explained on the web sites.

Women Grievance Cell



The institute has a Women Grievance cell which is headed by a senior lady facultyassociated by two more lady faculties. This committee meets twice in a semester anddiscusses the issues with all concerned people. They are always available to listen to theproblems of ladies staff and girl students. This Cell was constituted to take all necessarymeasures to ensure the safety and the dignity of the female students. Continuous vigilance of institute authority and strict punishment provisions prevent sexual harassment of women student.

IQAC



Goals and Objectives: The primary aim of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution. It aims at fulfillment of the mission and the vision of the university in the light of its quality policy.

Functions: Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are -

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of an institution
  • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education
  • Organization of workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles
  • Documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for quality-related activities
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.
